Scribes protest over lawyer’s remarks

 Vikarabad: Journalists attending a programme to felicitate MLAs by the district Bar Council on Thursday staged a protest after humiliating comments made by senior advocate Chowdary Yadava Reddy here on Thursday. 

The journalists also submitted a representation to Tandur RDO and MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy demanding an unconditional apology from him.  They warned of serious consequences if such incidents recurred.  

Chowdary said that the government had been allocating double bedroom houses to unqualified journalists whereas it was neglecting lawyers who were highly qualified.

MLAs Rohith Reddy and Metuku Anand condemned the incident. They appealed to the Bar Council to see that such incidents do not recur in future.  The MLAs said services of journalists were priceless and they were working as bridge between the people and the government.
