Women can excel in any field

   Tandur: Women should progress in all fields with persistence, urged municipal chairperson K Vijayalaxmi here on Friday. She addressed a meeting held on the occasion of World Women's Day celebrations at Jingurthi, which were organised by Ekalavya Foundation.
 
"Women can achieve anything if they want. We have women pilots and astronauts," Vijayalaxmi said. Women should develop by utilising schemes like loans for self-help groups etc. Women organic farmers Rukmini, Shasikala, Ratrabai, Ranibai, Jyothi, Sayamma were felicitated on the occasion. Foundation member Bosu, Balakrishna, Dr Mallesham, sarpanch P Rathnamma and others were present.
