Dil Raju pockets 40 cr profit?
After suffering loses in productions last year, ace producer Dil Raju bounced back into the reckoning with earth-shattering hit ‘F2’ and reportedly pocketed Rs 40 crore profit, highest for a Telugu film in recent times. “Dil Raju almost covered his losses and recovered big time in 2019,” says a leading distributor and adds “As Venkatesh trounced his rivals Balakrishna and Ram Charan during Sankanthi festival by pulling in massive crowds for his comic-caper. The family entertainer also starring Varun Tej set new box office records,” With Dil Raju himself producing and distributing the film, he could gain bigger margin of profits. “That’s big advantage Dil Raju cashed in on. As the film turned out to be the biggest grosser in the career of Venkatesh,” the distributor points out. After flops like ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ and ‘Lover’, people started doubting Dil Raju’s judgement but everything changed with ‘F2’, thanks to his bankable director Anil Ravipudi. “Dil Raju is planning ‘F3’ and bound to draw sensational openings.”
