Update: 2019-03-06 05:30 IST

Young actor Manchu Vishnu is attempting a political drama for the first time in his career. The film titled ‘Voter’ has wrapped up the shooting and is currently busy with the post-production works. On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the makers have announced that they are planning to release the film in April.

‘Voter’ is written and directed by GS Karthik. Surbhi is playing the female lead. Actors Sampath Raj, Nasser, Posani Krishna Murali and Pragathi will be seen in supporting roles. Thaman is composing music and Rajesh Yadav handled the cinematography. John Sudheer Podhuta is producing ‘Voter’ under Rama Reels banner.

No doubt, the timing of the release looks perfect for this political drama which reiterates the power of a voter in this season of elections. Vishnu after dabbling with comedies like ‘Achari America Yatra’ is now portraying an intense role and would unleash his anger against powers-that-be, says director Karthik. Vishnu’s dad Mohan Babu tasted success with political movies like ‘Assembly Rowdy’, hope his son strikes a chord with masses with his next.
