Nizamabad: The leaders of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Wednesday urged District Collector M Rammohan Rao not to allow screening of the magnum opus film Padmaavat, claiming that the film has distorted the history of Rajputs.
In a memorandum submitted to the Collector, the BJYM activists, who reached the Collectorate in a rally, said that it contained several sequences that hurt the sentiments of Rajputs.
They urged the official not to allow its screening under any circumstances. BJYM city president Roshanlal Bohra and other leaders Karipi Ganesh, Shabba Sai Prasad, Yendala Suresh, Amand Vijay Krishna and others were present.
