Big day for the passing-out cops

 Warangal: It was a huge day for the 206 constables (Armed Reserve), who culminated their nine-month training at the Police Training Centre in Madikonda, a suburban village of Warangal on Tuesday.

The batch, which belongs to Hyderabad, participated in the passing-out parade ‘Deekshant’ that held on a colourful note amid their family members. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu said that police job is one of those that directly deal with the people; hence it is the responsibility of the employees to maintain high standards in dispensing their duty.

“The onus is on police personnel to live up to trust reposed by the people,” Sudheer Babu exhorted. The role of family is very important, he said, stating that without their support it’s difficult for a police to excel in his duties. Referring to the technology, the Commissioner said that training was given on par with the current trend such as 
cyber and other hi-tech crime. It’s a matter of adopting the technology, he said, advising the trainees to update themselves with the changing times.

Training Centre principal Venkat Reddy told the trainees to work hard and bring accolades to the department. Besides routine stuff, the training also included yoga sessions, he added. As part of passing-out parade, the trainees demonstrated martial arts, group pyramid and fashion dress parade. Later, the Commissioner gave away awards to the meritorious that had shown excellence in various aspects during the training. 

Among those received prizes are - Best outdoor and best all-rounder K Saidulu, best indoor M Ravi Prakash, best firing G Ramesh and best parade commander Swamy. Earlier, Venkat Reddy administered the passing out members the oath. West, East Zone DCPs Malla Reddy and Venkateshwarlu, additional DCPs Ashok Kumar, ACPs Ravinder, Vidyasagar and Satyanarayana were among others present.
