Political outfits support sought for electoral rolls revision
Peddapalli: District in-charge revenue officer Shankaraiah on Monday called upon the representatives of all political outfits for their support to the revision of voters’ list.
In a meeting with the representatives of recognised political parties in the district, he said that special camps would be conducted at all polling booths in the district on February 11 to enroll new voters, who have crossed 18 years on January 1 this year, and to carry out omissions to the list before the deadline on February 14.
He appealed to the political parties to appoint their agents at the booths. The final list of the voters would be out on March 24. M Jagadishwar was appointed as the Observer to supervise the revision of the voters’ list exercise.
Administrative officer at the Collectorate Nagarjuna, deputy Tahsildar Pravin Kumar, representatives of political parties Putta Mondaiah (BJP), Earla Komuraiah (Congress) and Tandra Sandram (CPI) and others attended the meeting.
