Niti Aayog to aid Bhupalpally growth
Bhupalpally: The onus is on the administration to utilise the Central and State funds judiciously and ensuring all-round development of the district, Sanjay Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Navin Mittal, Municipal Administration Secretary said here on Monday, reviewing the progress made on health, education, nutrition, drinking water, Jan Dhan Yozana, sanitation etc undertaken by the Niti Aayog.
Sanjay Kumar said that Jayashankar-Bhupalpally district is one among 115 districts in the country languishing in the implementation of infrastructure, education, health and skill development. The officials were told to submit an action plan to strengthen these areas to the Niti Aayog.
He directed the district administration to achieve 100 per cent village electrification besides providing power connection to those underprivileged free of cost. Both the top officials directed the administration to encourage horticultural crops.
District administration was also told to achieve 100 per cent success in ensuring sanitation in villages and vaccination of animals. In-charge Collector RV Karnan said that all the information will be submitted to the Niti Aayog so that funds allocated by the Central and State governments will be utilised fully for the development of the district.
Joint-collector D Amay Kumar, Sub-collector Gowtham and ITDA project officer V Chakradhar Rao were among others present.
