Chopper fuelling draws crowds
Adilabad: Albeit not in use, the existing airstrip in Adilabad is ideal for fuelling of helicopters, said Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier, who met the crew of a chopper belonging to the Air Force here on Thursday.
He interacted with the wing commander Seema and trainee pilots Satveer Singh and Jithender. It may be noted here that helicopters flying between Hyderabad and Nagpur frequently stop in Adilabad for fuelling.
Speaking on the occasion, Seema thanked the SP for ensuring fool-proof security to them. With prior intimation, the district police have been arranging bandobust at the aerodrome to avoid people jostling with each other at the airstrip, it’s learnt. Inspector V Suresh and Sub-inspector Jadhav Gunavanth Rao were present.
