SSC exams begin under tight security: Collector Devasena
Peddapalli: District Collector Devasena said the Intermediate examinations commenced under tight security arrangements in the district. The Collector inspected the examination centre at Government Junior College in Odela mandal on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that tight security arrangements were made at the examination centres for the convenience of students. She said every examination centre is being monitored by CCTV cameras and provisions including drinking water facility, uninterrupted power supply, medical staff with emergency medicines were provided for the students. She advised the students to come to the examination centre 15 minutes prior to the exam because according to government rule, the students who come even one minute late will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
She said the invigilators must be alert in the examination hall and if they notice that any student needs medical attention, they should immediately inform the medical staff for emergency treatment. RTC arranged special buses for the students who are coming from villages and all necessary arrangements were made for the convenience of the students for smooth conduct of the intermediate examinations, she said. Responding to the complaint by media persons that some local teachers were not attending the classes on time, the Collector instructed the officials to implement biometric system to maintain time sense.
She warned the teacher to attend the classes regularly otherwise necessary actions would be taken against them. She directed the teaching staff to take necessary steps for planting of saplings under Haritha Haram programme in the college premises involving students. Odelu Tahsildar Srinivas Rao, DO Hari Krishan and the College Principal Jithendar Reddy were present.
