PRTU to hold women’s day today

Mancherial: PRTU will organise the International Women’s Day here on a grand scale, informed its president Inna Reddy at a press meet held at Boys High School here on Wednesday.

He said the women, who constitutes 50 per cent of the population, should get their due place in the society and discrimination against them should be stopped. There will be real development only when all sections are uplifted, he stressed.

Reddy stated that PRTU has been organising the Women’s Day for the last 16 years. Teacher MLA Pula Ravinder will be the chief guest at the celebrations to be organised on Thursday. Inna Reddy requested all the women to attend the convention in large numbers.

PRTU associate president Banda Shankari, Dhanalakshmi, Jayaprada, Sunita and others were present at the press meet.
