Women take to streets for drinking water

Sircilla: The residents of Indiramma Colony at Tangallapalli mandal in Rajanna-Sircilla district staged a protest on Tuesday, demanding drinking water supply, which they were deprived of for the last six months. 

The women said that the authorities turned a blind eye despite their request to repair the pipeline that was damaged due to road works some six months ago. The residents said that they have to wait hours together at the public borewell to fetch water every day.
