Govt to develop financially weaker sections: Collector
Peddapalli: District Collector Devasena said the government is working hard for the financial development of weaker sections. She held a meeting with the bankers and MPDOs to discuss about the target of loans to be sanctioned for SC, ST, BC and minorities, here at the Collectorate conference hall on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that about 90 per cent of grounding of loans was completed for the financial year of 2016-17. For the target of about Rs 430 crores of Tricor funds related to SC, ST and BC, 80 per cent of loans were sanctioned to Self-Help Groups till date.
After discussing with the Minister, a mega loan mela will be organised by end of this month. All the departments must participate in the mela and must sanction loans to the beneficiaries.
The Collector said that about 100 moped equipments and three luggage carrier autos are ready for distribution from fisheries department. The officials of agriculture department in coordination with bank officials must prepare the list of the beneficiaries for distributing 225 tractors on subsidy. She told the officials to sanction loans under Stree Needhi funds by March 31, which are in pending due to IKP strike.
The Collector said that every department must be in coordination with the Manager of Lead Bank and must hand over the details of beneficiaries, department-wise from village to mandal-level.
The MPDOs must submit application forms through online. All the officials of various departments in coordination with each other must conduct mega loan mela successfully in the district.
District in-charge DRDO Prem Kumar, district LEAD Bank Manager Hari Babu, district backward class development officer Damodar, district welfare officer Padmavati, MPDOs and other officials were present.
