Land sought for coal conveyer belt
Bhupalpally: District Collector D Amoy Kumar urged the farmers to cooperate with the administration by giving their land for installing conveyer belt required for the Genco.
In a meeting with farmers and revenue officials here on Wednesday, the Collector said that it was an imperative need for them to provide land for erecting a closed conveyer belt, which needs 17 acres for transferring coal from Singareni mines to Genco.
He said the government will provide compensation to the displaced as per the norms. It’s learnt that farmers in Jangedu and Khasimpally villages have to forego their land to the Genco.
While advising the farmers not to fall prey to those swindlers, who promise to get them high price to their land, he directed the officials to take up the survey of the required land from Thursday.
He told the Genco officials to take up developmental works in power unit-affected villages with the corporate social responsibility funds.District revenue officer P Mohan Lal, RDO Veerabrahmachary, Genco SE Tirupathaiah, assistant director land survey Sudarshan and tahsildar Satyanarayana Swamy were among other present.
