Residential schools to conduct their own teacher recruitment test

 Warangal: Five residential schools societies in Telangana together would soon conduct an examination on their own to recruit teachers to serve at residential schools in the State, informed the TMREIS chairman and vice-president AK Khan.

Telangana Residential Educational Institutions Society (TREIS), Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS), Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS), Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (MJPTBCWREIS) and Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutional Society (TMREIS) would jointly conduct the test instead of the TSPSC.

Speaking to the press here on Monday, Khan said the joint recruitment examination by the above societies would be conducted to recruit about 4,000 to 5,000 teachers. Nearly 2,000 teachers would be selected for serving at schools under the TMREIS.  
The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) in the year 2017 has conducted a test to recruit nearly 2,000 teachers for the TMREIS and the process of appointing teachers was going on, he noted.

Khan was here to review implementation of minority welfare schemes like Shadi Mubakak, prioritisation and locating resources related to minority residential schools. This year about 1,800 additional seats would be available at minority residential schools across the State.

The enrolment process has been stated and was expected to be completed by April 26, he informed adding the minority residential schools have been gaining public trust and there was good response from parents to the enrolment process.
Similarly, the TMREIS has taken up construction of 14 school buildings, which would come up on five to six acres land. 

The society took over 10 schools and two junior colleges from school education department last year. The schools would be upgraded to junior colleges, Khan revealed. Following recognition of Urdu as second official language, process to recruit about 66 Urdu officers has been started. 

Efforts were on to revamp nearly 38 Urdu Libraries and Computer Centres, while three such centres were already refurbished across the State. A centre at Jangaon would be opened soon, he added.In order to increase the representation of minority graduates in civil services, 100 candidates were selected for offering free coaching for Civil Services Examination, conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Likewise, free coaching camps at districts would be conducted for preparing candidates to appear for police recruitment and teacher recruitment tests.  District Collector Amrapali Kata, district minority officers Ratnaveera Chary and Phani Kumar were present.
