Hanamkonda: Bahujana Left Front (BLF) is holding talks with likeminded political parties for having poll alliance in 2019 elections, informed CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram.

He said talks are under process with TJAC chairman M Kodandaram regarding alliance with Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS). BLF may have alliance with CPI and TJS in Telangana while Andhra Pradesh may join hands with Pawan Kalyan and CPI. Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, Veerabhadram said the motto of BLF is social justice. It wants a BC or SC/ST leader to become the CM of Telangana.

If public vote for TRS, KCR or his family members will become the CM and if they vote for Congress, a leader from Reddy community will become the CM. Hence the voters in the State should stand by the BLF, which intends to contest for all 119 Assembly seats and will allot 65 seats to BC/SC/STs and 10 seats to minorities, he said and demanded TRS, Congress and BJP to do the same based on population ratio of the communities.

Despite several requests by BLF, the parties are silent on the issue and they remained mute on the issue of reservations in private sector. Social justice can’t be achieved by distributing sheep and fish but by ensuring the downtrodden communities their due share in political power, Veerabhadram felt.

The CPM leader informed that the party national conference will be held at RTC Kalyana mandapam from April 18 to 22.  He appealed the party supporters and cadre to attend party’s public meeting at Saroornagar stadium on April 22 in large numbers and make it a grand success. Along with the conference, science exhibition, book fair and cultural activities will take place at NTR stadium from April 18. Science exhibition will be inaugurated by Finance Minister E Rajender while Gaddar and others will attend cultural events. CPM district secretary S Vasudeva Reddy and others present.
