Man stages sit-in protest on transformer

​Kamareddy: Vexed with official apathy, a petty trader P Hanumandlu, staged a novel protest by sitting on an electricity supply transformer at Chincholi village under Birkur mandal on Monday. 

According to reports, Hanumandlu, who ran pillar to post to get a power connection to his roadside hotel, stopped the power supply and climbed the transform. He demanded that the officials ensure power connection with immediate effect. Pacified by the Transco officials, he withdrew his protest.
