Sircilla: It was a pleasant surprise for those 150-odd young aspirants attending the coaching classes of competitive examinations being organised jointly by Rural Development Department and Vaaradhi Society.

Surprising them was none other than District Collector Krishna Bhaskar, clad in dhoti and kurta which he ardently wears every Monday to promote handlooms.

It may be mentioned here that Rural Development Department and Vaaradhi Society have been organising a 40-day free coaching classes to those appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group D and other competitive exams from April 16.

Krishna Bhaskar interacted with the aspirants and enquired about the syllabus. Later, the Collector, who looked like a Telugu Master due to his attire, taught arithmetic for about two hours besides testing the aspirants’ preparedness.

DRDO Ravinder said that aspirants were floored by the Collector’s gesture. His tips and encouragement will work like a tonic to job aspirants, he added.

Raveena, an aspirant, said that Collector’s gesture gave them inspiration to work hard for jobs. Manohar, a B Tech student, said that he was surprised by the Collector’s hold on arithmetic so many years after his student days.
