Congress is a drama company, says Eatala Rajender
Karimnagar: Congress is one of the worst parties in the country, which never bothered about the people and their issues, criticised Finance Minister Eatala Rajender.
The Minister participated in cheques and pattadar passobooks distribution programme at Metpalli village of Shankarapatnam mandal in Karimnagar on Tuesday.
Later speaking at the public meeting, Rajender criticised that Congress is a drama company that was creating obstacles for the government in implementing welfare and development activities. The people will never believe Congress and its leaders, he added.
When the State government took the unique decision of distributing cheques under Rythu Bandhu Scheme (RBS) by investing Rs 12,000 crores for the welfare of farmers, Congress leaders were commenting that it was an elections stunt by the TRS.
He asked TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy to explain why they are terming waiving off farm loans, distribution of seeds and fertilisers, supplying of farm equipment on subsidy and allocation of money
in the budget under RBS as election stunt.
“We considered the Congress leaders great when they waived off Rs 3,000 crores of farm loans under their rule. But they are not treating the TRS government in the same manner, which waived off Rs 17,000 crores of farm loans. Moreover, they are criticising the TRS leaders,” he pointed out.
Rajender questioned whether any government for the last 60 years had provided 24-hour power supply for farming sector.
Congress and its leaders were unable to see the good happening to all sections of people under the TRS government and were worried of their position in the coming up elections, he added. Hence, they were trying to manipulate people with their meaningless allegations and comments.
