GWMC Mayor promises to solve residents issues
Warangal: Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) Mayor N Narender on Tuesday visited Brindavan Colony near Bhadrakali Tank under GWMC 24th division and promised steps to address the locals’ issues.
The mayor addressed the residents at a meeting organised by Bhadrakali Tank Bund Area Samithi in view of the recent protests staged by the residents opposing the demolition of newly constructed houses in the pretext of houses falling under full tank level of the tank.
Narender told the residents that he would consult the Municipal Commissioner and Warangal Urban District Collector to find amicable solution to the problems of the residents while preparing the new Master Plan. Similarly, funds would be provided to develop the colony area, he said.
Efforts would be made to develop Bondivagu nala which had been inundating the colonies in rainy season and to provide house numbers to the newly constructed houses. Similarly, permissions to construct houses would also be sanctioned after studying the existing norms related to Hyderabad Tank Bund area, he said.
Samithi president Marri Ravinder, general secretary Ch Ravinder, members P Hari, G Sambaiah, M Narsimha Reddy, Srinath, Srihari, Siddiramlu, Jithender and others were present along with 300 residents of the colony.
