Sircilla runs to mark grand Telangana Formation Day fete
Sircilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar appealed to the people of various sections to participate in the fourth year ‘Telangana Formation Day’ celebrations and make it a grand success.
The Collector inaugurated a 2K-Run organised as part of the Formation Day celebrations after garlanding to the statue of Telangana Talli here at the new bus stand in Sircilla on Friday.
Many people, students of various educational institutions and youth participated in large numbers in the 2K-Run along with the Collector and other officials which was held from the new bus stand to the Collectorate, covering the old bus stand and Nethanna Circle.
After completing the 2K-Run, in a meeting held at the Collectorate, Krishna Bhaskar said the State government had made elaborate arrangements for celebrating the State Formation Day for two days across the State in all districts.
Several programmes will be organised which reflect Telangana culture and tradition along with cultural activities. People must participate in celebrations voluntarily and must make the celebrations a grand success, Krishna Bhaskar appealed to the public.
Municipal Chairperson Samala Pavani, speaking on the occasion, said the district administration had taken all measures for conducting the celebrations on a grand note along with decorating the main centres in the town and government offices and buildings with flowers and lights.
Revenue Divisional Officer Panduranga, Municipal Commissioner Ramana Chary, District Sports Authority Officer Anil Kumar, General Manager of Industries Department Rajaram, DPRO Dasharatham, Circle Inspector Srinivas Chowdari and Councilors were present in the 2K-Run.
