Tributes paid to Che Guevara in Hanamkonda
Hanamkonda: Rich tributes were paid to Ernesto Che Guevara, Argentinean-born, Cuban revolutionary leader, on his 90th birth anniversary here on Thursday. A programme in this connection was organised by Telangana activist Chaganti Ramesh at Balasamudram in Hanamkonda.
Speaking on the occasion, he said Che Guevara, who donned many roles such as physician, author, diplomat and military theorist, made great efforts for Latin American people’s freedom.
Che has become a global symbol of Left-wing revolution and rebellion against suppression and one of the most familiar and influential revolutionary figures of the twentieth century, Ramesh said adding, it was a happy moment to celebrate his birthday and recall his contribution to poorer sections. Activists Sampath, Rajesh, Gautham, Ravi, Srinivas and others were present.
