Kadiyam Srihari turns lecturer, gives tips to job aspirants
Warangal: Taking brief respite from politics, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari turned a don on Friday and gave lecture to candidates preparing for competitive examinations.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave tips to the candidates on how to prepare for the tests, to maintain physical fitness and score better in the examinations. He addressed the youth at Narsampet and Thorrur where the Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation chairman P Sudharshan Reddy in collaboration with Errabelli Dayakar Rao Charitable Trust organised free coaching classes for job aspirants.
“I came from a poor financial background, worked as farm labourer and never expected to complete my M Sc. But, my parents encouraged me to study and I never failed in any class or subject and stood first in my studies,” Srihari told the youth.
He said after finishing the PUC, he got a job in Forest department, but his mother wanted him to see him as a lecturer, hence he completed M Sc and worked as chemistry lecturer until 1987 and later joined politics. Only hard work paved way for success, he averred.
In order to face competition, the youth should be prepared to make some sacrifices and keep away from smart phones and social media, he said. Serious and well-planned study for eight hours and two hours practice was needed every day to excel in tests, he advised.
The Deputy Chief Minister stressed on the need of physical fitness saying that during the recent army recruitment drive, only very less candidates were able to get through physical fitness tests though they cleared the written test. “Once you secure a government job, you could try for higher positions,” he noted.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was making committed efforts to fill up as many as 1.07 lakh vacancies in government departments, Srihari said, adding that the government was filling up 18, 000 constable and police sub-inspector posts and it never happened in the past.
Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman P Sudharshan Reddy and Palakurthy MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Mahabubabad District Collector Ch Shivalingaaih, trust chairperson Usha Dayakar Rao, TRS leader N Venkateshwarlu and others were present.
Earlier on the day, while going towards Thorrur, Srihari had a brief halt at Ravuru village in Parvathagiri mandal to interact with farm labourers working in the fields. Surprised at the Deputy Chief Minister’s gesture, they shared details of their personal lives and on the implementation of Rythu Bandhu Scheme and 24-hour power supply.
