The allegation against Rahul Gandhi by the BJP leader was unwarranted and utterly mindless, he said and added that Swamy lacks moral background to comment against the Congress chief. Srihari demanded that the MP withdraw his comments and tender an unconditional apology for his remarks.

He warned Swamy that if he fails to stop making outrageous comments on Congress leaders, the public and the party cadre would teach him a lesson. “Being a member of Rajya Sabha he should maintain stature of his position,” he said.

Party leaders Ch Venkateshwaralu, Sk Hyder, Jannu Sudhakar, D Rajesh and others were present. During an interaction with the press in Hanamkonda former chief whip and ex-MLA G Venkata Ramana Reddy also found fault with Swamy’s remarks against Rahul Gandhi and said his comments reveal that he lost his mental balance.
