Excerpts:

Share your Adelaide experience when you designed for a wedding?
I had designed outfits for both the bride and groom who are from Australia and wanted to get married in Womadelaide, a music festival in Adelaide where they had first met. It was a great experience as the wedding was a fusion of Indian and Australian cultures. Their measurements were taken on face time and the embroideries and colour swatches were approved on WhatsApp. It was quite challenging as measurements and fittings needed to be perfect as there would not be any trial fitting. The technology was a blessing then But now it’s become a part of business lifestyle to rely on these applications.

How did Mrs World Rumana Sinha Sehgal contact you and how many outfits did you design for her?
Rumana Sinha Sehgal happens to be a friend of my husband. She saw my work on facebook and approached me to design a few outfits for her that included resort wear, a cocktail dress, an Indo-western outfit and an evening gown. She was able to wear the cocktail dress and evening gown for the pageant events that were held at Udaipur Palace and Mewar Castle.

What do you think of the Hyderabad fashion scene?
Hyderabad is fashion forward city that shows its love for established brands and a huge acceptance towards the emerging new labels.

Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills are chock a block with fashion stores with new ones cropping up every now and then. People here don't just want to wear a label but make a style statement as well.

What are your plans?
I plan to work with film industry and promote my brand not just in Hyderabad but across the country.
I would also like to continue doing bridal orders within India and overseas.
