Fruit stall worker abducted and thrashed

Rajendranagar: A worker of a fruit-stall who was camping at the workplace late night was beaten up by two unidentified men and later abducted him to a nearby place and thrashed him till dawn.

The incident which took place on wee hours of Sunday disturbed the local fruit sellers who took up the matter with the Rajendranagar police station. But the police failed to register the complaint and the matter posted on social media went viral.

According to details Md Ansar, a native of Bihar, working at a fruit stall used to stay back in the night. However, on that night, around 3.30 am when he was taking a rest near the stall, two unidentified men approached him and began questioning. 

Afterwards they started beating him to which he resisted and tried to run away from the spot. However, they caught hold of him and took him to a nearby place located near a temple and thrashed him till dawn after tying him. 

Later in the morning the victim along with the shop owner tried to lodge a complaint, but the police neither took their complaint nor did they send him for medical examination. The matter went viral on social media, demanding action against the culprits. In the video clip, the victim shows welts on his back.
