Standing strong for Gender Equality and Women’s Safety, 100 boys from Mumbai-based NGO, ‘The Little League’, have collaborated with Ashley Lobo’s Danceworx to perform a flash mob at the Andheri Metro Station in Mumbai.

‘The Little League’ works with children from economically weak backgrounds and seeks to facilitate holistic development. One of the ways in which TLL influences the children it works with, is by educating them of the social evils that plauge our society. To this end, the NGO, in association with Lamiya Bagasrawala, a renowned child psychologist, have conducted a series of workshops highlighting the mental, emotional and intellectual strengths of women.

The aim of this project was to showcase the importance of gender equality and encouraging the empowerment of women to a country’s growth and progress. The workshops then culminated in over 100 boys coming together and conducting a flash mob to spread awareness regarding the issue. The flash mob was choreographed by renowned choreographer Ashley Lobo’s team. Having carved a niche for himself in India and overseas with his training style and in-depth understanding of performing arts, he extended his craft for a social cause.
