Youth is future of country: Sanjay Gupta
Hyderabad: ‘We are living in India, the country of opportunities, and the power is in your hands’, said CMS Sanjay Gupta, President, Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), while addressing students at ‘Prathibostsav’, a day-long conference, at Visvesvaraya Bhavan, on Saturday .
Gupta told them that by the year 2030, seventy per cent of the country’s population would be youth. Then competition wouldl go up.The fittest only would survive. ‘So equip yourself well’, he advised the students. ‘Change your attitude from ‘chlata hai’ to ‘badal saktha hai’. He observed that accounting would disappear in next three years. ‘We are living in PayTM era. Ninety per cent of bank branches would be closed so equip yourselves for future. You are the future brand ambassadors of the country’, Gupta stated.
Cost Management Professional Ramana Murthy described CMA as a green profession. He said although five lakh students were studying cost management in the country, but there was no dearth of jobs for CMA students. Elocution, quiz and mock annual general meeting competition were conducted as part of the event organised by the Hyderabad Cost and Management Accountants Association. Cultural programmes performed by the students attracted the audience.
The winners were given prizes, while meritorious Cost Management students were awarded trophies and appreciation certificates. CMA Dr. Chandra Sekhar Rajanala, President, Hyderabad Chapter of ICAI, Dr. PVS Jagan Mohan Rao, Vice-President of SAFA and other CMA professionals, were present.
