Sri Chaitanya shines in Jr Science & National Astronomy Olympiads

Hyderabad: Students of Sri Chaitanya fared well in the prestigious Indian National Junior Science Olympiad and Indian National Astronomy Olympiad conducted by the Central Government and HomiBhaba Centre for Science and Education, Mumbai, recently.  Six students got selected from across Telugu states and the highest from Sri Chaitanya. 

4 Students are from Sri Chaithanya, out of seven students who have got selected In Junior Science Olympiad from Telugu States. In Astronomy Olympiad, two students of Chaithanya qualified out of six students. Dr B S Rao, the Chairman of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions stated that not only in Telugu states but in the entire country no educational institution has bagged selections like their Institution.

He said as many as 45 Sri Chaitanya students got selected in past five years at school level Olympiads to Mumbai Camp . These proud students grabbed 6 gold medals, 3 silver medals in international level and brought glory to the institutions ,said Academic Director Seema.

The selected students for Junior Science and Astronomy Olympiad will attend the Orientation-Cum-Selection Camp (OCSC) in April-May and the exam will be held at HBCSE, Mumbai, says Dr B S Rao. In OCSC noted scientists and senior professors will train the students.

Sri Chaitanya School Academic Director Seema said that no other institution bagged such stunning selections and the reason behind their success is scientifically designed C-Batch and C-IPL programmes and devoted teachers. She congratulated the winning students their parents and teachers.
