YEA to build entrepreneurship talent for young

Hyderabad: The Young Entrepreneurs Academy India (YEA! India), the first global franchise of YEA USA, plans to expand its footprint in India with focusing on cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. YEA! India will strengthen its students base to over 250 in 2018 from the 150 students in 2017 by enrolling 100+ students from South India alone.

Admissions are open currently and the interview process will start from March 10. YEA! India is a ground breaking and exciting programme that transforms students between ages 11-18 into real and confident entrepreneurs. Namita Thapar, CEO, YEA! India said, “Entrepreneurship begins at 11. Entrepreneurship should become the centre piece of contemporary education. Entrepreneurship is the capacity to not only start companies but also to think creatively and ambitiously. 

We aspire to teach an entrepreneurial mind set – the ability to identify and solve problems is the most critical skill. Comfort with failure is a must and we should look at failure positively.” Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA) encourages the students throughout the class to develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of investors, actually launch and run their own real companies and social movements. 

YEA! Indiais associated with esteemed mentors such as Kiran Mazumdar Shaw,Harsh Mariwala, Mukesh Bansal, Kunal Shah, Ronnie Screwala, amongst other eminent personalities who have guided the students at every step of their young entrepreneurial journey. 

According to Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, “YEA is shaping the future generation to be job creators who can drive a new model of economic growth for our country. The 20-day course, with three-hour classes every Saturday, will be available in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai starting from June.
