Narayana students excel in Spell Bee contest
Hyderabad: Srija of Narayana School, Vijayawada, emerged winner (in senior category) in Narayana Spell Bee contest conducted in association with Orient BlackSwan at Shilpa Kala Vedika here on Sunday. Commentator Harsha Bhogle hosted the finale event.
Manogna of Narayana CO Campus, Secunderabad stood second while Tanvik Reddy of KukatPalli branch secured third place.
In Junior Category, Hasini of Narayana institutions, High Tech City Branch stood first while Dhanush of Secunderabad branch secured the second spot and Sri Harsha of Narayanaguda branch bagged the third place.
In Sub Junior Category, K Sri Varsha of Guduru secured first, Krishna Kaushik of Narayanaguda branch secured second and D Sanjana of Bhimavaram branch stood third.As many as 600 students from various Narayana Schools across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have participated in the event.
The competition was held in four stages. Harsha Bhogle said that looking at the young students was taking him back to his childhood days. He advised the students to go ahead and build memories. Compete hard but also have fun.
Everybody fails and every body succeeds, it depends on what you focus on, he said. Sindhura Narayana, Managing Director of Narayana group said that the learning for a student has to go beyond books and that is why Narayana regularly organises co-curricular activities to showcase their talent.
Krishna Deva Rao, Director of Orient BlackSwan, congratulated Narayana group for organising such a lively event. The Executive Director of Narayana Group Puneet Kothapa said that Spell Bee is focused on teaching students the beauty of language.
