ICA Edu Skills launches Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra

Visakhapatnam:ICA Edu Skills, one of India’s leading vocational training and placement institutes, has got yet another feather in its cap. On Monday, it has launched yet another model training Centre, this one in industrial city of Visakhapatnam, under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK). 

A vocational training initiative of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the vision of PMKK is to establish visible and aspirational model training centers in every district of the country.ICA Edu Skills has been allotted to 26 districts in the country to set up model training centres.

The training centre at Visakhapatnam will be a state-of-the-art institution— exclusive and iconic. With the core focus on employability, it will run industry-driven high quality courses, with the ICAguarantee of efficient training through well-qualified trainers and instructors. Over 600 youth of Visakhapatnam will be trainedat the centreto serve the industries as Room Attendant, Field Technician, Automotive Technician (2 & 3 wheelers), Mobile Phone Hardware Technician and Customer Relation Executive.The aim is to increase their employability.

The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras are benchmark institutions to demonstrate aspirational value for competency-based skill development training. The onus of quality, sustainability and connect lie with stakeholders in skill delivery process.

Addressing the audience on the inaugural ceremony, Kambhampati Haribabu, Member of Parliament ,Visakhapatnam remarked, “With India growing, there are and will continue to be increase in employment opportunities, with the growth in various job creating avenues, including industries and manufacturing. 

What India needs,is to skill-train the educated youth and reduce the gap of vacancies against skilled employment. With Vishakhapatnam’s vast industrial and development potential, we wish to tap this opportunity to help students equip themselves with the required skill for a job they wish to take up. The launch of thiscentre will be providing the ideal platform for the youth to enhance their skill set and we encourage them to make the most of the skill-oriented courses at ICA Edu Skills.”

Speaking on the occasion, Vice President of ICA Edu Skills  Saubhik Saha said, “We are elated to establish yet another advanced centre of PMKK, and this time we have reached Vishakhapatnam. Having launched around 40centres successfully, we are indeed witnessing the initiative grow across the country, triggering a silent transformation. 

India remains one of the youngest countries in the world and the onus lies on us to tap the massive human resource and energy and direct it towards nation building. ICA Edu Skills,along with the Government of India, is happy to walk hand-in-hand towards making of a better future for India.
