Global seminar on innovative technologies at Osmania University

Hyderabad: The four circuit branches of the Osmania University College of Engineering (OSCE) have organised a three-day international seminar on 'Innovative Technologies in Engineering-2018' from April 11-13.

Addressing media here on Tuesday, OUCE Principal S Sameen Fatima said the three-day conference will focus on the inter-disciplinary areas in biomedical, computer sciences, electrical, electronics and communications engineering. For the first time, all the four departments of the university have come together to jointly organise the International Conference on Innovative Technologies in Engineering (CITE-2018).

The conference will give opportunities to the faculty and students to know and to enhance the interdisciplinary research through information exchange at national and international levels on a wide variety of topics.

Speakers from the USA, Canada, Singapore and reputed institutions like different IITs in the country and other reputed institutions will be attending the conference. 

About 400 research papers were received from nine countries. Participants from academic, research organisations, research scholars and postgraduate students will be participating in the three-day event. Also, 21 papers are selected for poster presentation. 

Prof V Ramgopal Rao, Director of IIT, Delhi will deliver a plenary talk on Thursday. Apart from that, few noteworthy participants are scientists from DRDO, RCL.

 The conference is going to be held in association with IEEE, Hyderabad Chapter and TEQIP -III project mentee institution- Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla from Odisha, she said. Dean, Faculty of Engineering Prof P Laxminarayana, Convener Prof G Mallesham and others were present.
