Honestly, I would not have afforded the kind of English medium education and food that the government is providing to our children. Today, my son, Suhan communicates in English fluently’, a proud parent said.

‘Thanks to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his vision and commitment for the bright future of poor children’, said another parent Rajasekhar who attended the meeting at Bellampally school.

The TSWREI Society invites parents and community members  to schools in the name of Impact programme, and  parents are apprised of their children’s progress in various fields at the end of every term exam. This programme brought tremendous change in the attitude of rural parents about importance of education, particularly girl child education and evils of early girl child marriages.

The Secretary thanked the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the Minister for Scheduled Caste Development Department G. Jagadish Reddy for allocating thousands of crores for strengthening the welfare residential schools under the KG-PG Mission. "No state government in the country has taken such a radical decision in so far as providing comprehensive support to students including laptops and cash awards.

The objective of the government is  to encourage poor children to pursue higher studies in the premier institutions of higher learning in India and abroad", the Secretary added.
