Tech-Mahindra, University of Sydney to create research platform

 New Delhi : Tech Mahindra and the University of Sydney on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to create a technology research platform for students.The MoU will open avenues for both the institutions to collaborate and exchange expertise that would provide experiential learning and collaborative research programmes as well as allow University of Sidney's young talent pool to build real-world applications and digital solutions.

"The MOU provides an opportunity for our students to be involved in projects at Tech Mahindra's research facilities in Australia, India and around the world to develop their skills and knowledge through hands-on experience with a global company," Rhodes-Taylor, Vice-Principal (External Relations), University of Sydney, said in a statement."This MOU opens a lot of new opportunities for joint pursuits, especially in the area of research and technology. 

This partnership will provide a platform for innovating new ideas arising out of technology research and help create real-world applications and digital solutions," added B.K. Mishra, Sr. VP & Global Delivery Head Tech Mahindra. 
In the past, more than 90 per cent of Tech Mahindra's technical employees underwent training in digital familiarisation and primary digital skills, as part of the company's reskilling initiative. 

Further, over 60 per cent of employees went through an advanced training on digital competencies in areas like Internet of Things (IoT), cloud, business intelligence and analytics, networks, security services.
