Largest nehru collage by DPS Nadergul

Hyderabad: The 159th children’s day celebrations at Delhi Public School Nadergul, came up with a unique idea of making the largest collage of Pandit Jawarlal Nehru using the scrap and craft material available in the school. The idea took shape into a magnificent 50 x60 mtr collage on the ground in the school campus. 

The material used to make the collage were old flexis, dried hay, cut green grass, old gunny sacks, garbage bags, tyres, old clothes, newspapers, chunnis and sarees. The school art department Veera Reddy, Padma Latha and Prema toiled three days to bring this large collage to a shape 475 students from nine different schools participated in this record making event registered by India book of records as the largest collage made with scrap material. 

The India book of records Vasuda congratulated the Chairman M Komariah the team members of Delhi Public schools and all the children who participated in it. Speaking on the occasion the principal extolled the value of art in school and explained the vision of holistic development encouraging all facets of circular activities as part of the school motto. This fete of the largest collage thus gets recorded in annals of Indian art for a long time to come.
