National Youth Day celebrated at Bhavan’s College

Hyderabad: Bhavan’s Vivekananda College celebrated the National Youth Day as part of Silver jubilee celebrations of the college with great enthusiasm and positivity. B. Sumathi, IPS, Telangana was invited as the chief guest for this event.  Prof. Y Ashok, Principal gave the welcome address. The towering statue of Swami Vivekananda was garlanded by the chief Guest and the Principal . The traditional lamp was lit followed by Bhavan’s Prayer.  Devotional songs were sung by the students.

The chief Guest gave an motivational speech and advised the students to follow their dreams and to  strive to achieve  excellence in their  respective fields. She spoke about an initiative taken by the Telangana Police Department ie Bharosa, which has been doing good work, reaching out to people.  She appreciated the college for having such a positive and vibrant ambience in the campus. 

Dr. Sanjeeva Rao, Coordinator, Centre of Excellence, presented the annual report at the MBA Seminar hall. The Principal congratulated the organisers and the coordinator of Centre of Excellence team for organising various competitions as part of National youth day Celebrations. 

There was a skit performed by the students on the life story of Swami Vivekananda that was well appreciated by the audience. The programme ended with the prize distribution ceremony. The NSS and NCC team of the college, visited few villages under the Village Adoption Programme and were given certificates and encouraged for their good deeds.
