N. Chandrababu Naidu Remains Silent on Telangana Issue Amid Congress Meeting

Hyderabad: While the T leaders and Seemandhra Congress leaders have been working overtime to convince the high command to take a decision in their favour, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu chose to spend entire day at home.

The former chief minister did not even meet his own party leaders. All that he did was to speak to couple of Telangana and Seemandhra leaders on phone. Naidu, it is said, has been closely monitoring the developments in Delhi. In the wake of crucial meeting on the contentious Telangana issue conducted by the Congress Core Committee with the state Congress leaders and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in New Delhi on Friday, Naidu cancelled daily meetings. He did not even meet E Dayakar Rao who went to his house.

Naidu has instructed his party leaders not to make any comments on the Delhi developments over Telangana issue that had created ripples in the State politics in the past few days. He told that as far as TDP was concerned it had taken a decision that it was not against separate Telagnana and there was nothing more for them to comment upon. He is learnt to have told them that Congress cannot be trusted and it may not take any decision at the core committee meeting and hence the party leaders need not make any comments that could cause embarrassment to the party.
