Seemandhra Leaders Strategize to Counter Telangana Move

Hyderabad: The Seemandhra leaders feel that it's time for them to change the strategy to counter the moves for separate Telangana. The integrationists are also mulling over the option of pressurising the State government to move a resolution on separate Telangana in the State assembly.
The leaders who are planning to meet on Friday at Hyderabad feel that with party high command examining various possibilities including Rayala Telangana, simply holding meetings in the state, organising some agitations or meeting the leaders of the party high command will not help.
According to a senior leader, a final action plan will be chalked out at the Seemandhra leaders' meeting which would be attended by S Sailajanath, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, J D Seelam, T G Venkatesh, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and others. It is learnt that these leaders would swing into action to argue their case for keeping the state united after June 30 public meeting being organised by the T Congress leaders led by K Jana Reddy.
These leaders are of the opinion that if they convince the high command to move a resolution on T state and see that no whip was issued, the mood of the majority members of the House would become evident. But the only question is what if the party rejects their plea and issues a whip. Should they violate the whip and if they do so what would be the repercussions on the government and the party is also likely to be discussed at the Friday meeting.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister had recently said that the issue of moving a resolution in the Assembly will be considered if the high command asks him to do so.
