2018 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Prices Revealed
The new Pulsar 150 costs around Rs 3,500 more than the previous generation motorcycle
An updated version of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 was spotted at a Bajaj stockyard last week. Now, Bajaj dealerships across the country have started accepting bookings for the 2018 version of the popular 150cc motorcycle. The new Pulsar 150 is priced at Rs 89,843 (on-road Delhi), Rs 91,147 (on-road Mumbai) and Rs 92,900 (on-road Bengaluru). The new prices denote a hike of around Rs 3,500 to 5,000 depending on the city, over the older model. That's quite good considering the new-gen bike gets a few mechanical and cosmetic changes to keep it relevant in an ever-growing segment.
The 2018 Pulsar 150 retains the same bodywork, albeit for the new split seats borrowed from the largerPulsar 180 and 220. It also gets a new two-tone paint scheme. Mechanical updates include fatter front forks and a new rear disc brake from the larger Pulsars. The twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers and the 240mm front disc brakes have been retained though.
The new bike is expected to carry over the same 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder DTSi motor which received an update last year. This motor produces 14PS of power at 8000rpm and 13.4Nm of torque at 6000rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It is a refined motor with plenty of bottom-end grunt. There is still no ABS or CBS on offer. However, the Indian government has ruled that all motorcycles with an engine displacing 125cc or more launched after April 1, 2018 must be equipped with ABS. So, expect Bajaj to officially launch the Pulsar 150 in the next couple of days, before the April 1 deadline.
When launched, the new Pulsar 150 will compete against the Honda X-Blade and the Hero Xtreme Sports, among others.
