Harish's clarion call to exercise right to vote
Siddipet: MLA Harish Rao visited the largest model EVM at Government Multipurpose High School here on Friday. Vibrants of Kalam organization held this exhibition in view of National Voters Day. Addressing the gathering, he reminded people of their responsibility to cast a vote that strengthens the spirit of democracy.
Every Indian should know the importance of casting the vote in India, which is the world's largest democracy. He lauded celebration of voters' day with the largest model EVM. He thanked the people of constituency for electing him with majority of more than one lakh votes.He expressed his dissatisfaction over lower voting percentage in towns as compared to villages. He appreciated the physically challenged and old age people for casting their votes despite hardships.
He asked the intellectual students to leave world of idleness and cast their valuable votes. Describing the right to vote as the greatest weapon, he further advised the people to vote in order to protect the spirit of democracy. Later, he takes the vote of pledge along with the gathering.
