Bowenpally: Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) officials have planned to lay BT road at Bhavana Colony, Bowenpally. As the road was in deplorable state earlier, the SCB decided to give it a facelift. The works have been already initiated in the first week of March and the total expenditure for this project is around Rs 28 lakh.

Pandu Yadav, SCB member of ward 6, said that the locals were facing commuting problems and in recent years the area has become quite busy. The plying of vehicles have doubled up, a lot of new houses sprouted up, now one can tag this place as a cosmopolitan, as BHEL colony, ICRISAT colony were nearby along with defence establishment.

Only the base preparation work i.e the bituminous concrete surface course has been laid and it would be followed by tack coat layer of bitumen binder. Then preparation and placing of the premix of a hot mixture of bitumen heated up to 150-177 Degree C would be spread on the bed.

Then rolling works would be carried out for levelling the road. This road links to Tadbund, Centre Point, Paradise, New Bowenpally, and Bapuji Nagar. As per the plan, the road would be completed by the first week of April and after the completion it would give great relief to the residents over here.
