Captain of Indian football team feted

Hyderabad: G R Kiran, Secretary and former national volleyball player, Senior Public Relations Manager in TSRTC felicitated upcoming youngster Sowmya, Captain of the Indian Football Team at Sarojini Cricket and Tennis Academy ground.

In Under-16, Sowmya recorded her highest goals player for India. In 2018, she was captain for Indian football team. In U-17 BRICS tournament held at South Africa. BRICKS consists of 5 countries. She toured different countries like China, Nepal, Bhutan, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.

G. Kiran Reddy appreciated Sowmya and told that in future days she will perform more better. She started playing football from hamlet area and from a humble background in Nizamabad District and reached highest place in football.

On this occasion she also spoke about how she did rigorous training off the field and on the field to come to this stage. On this occasion Sarojini Academy provided the requisite material for her in football to improve further.

She distributed the prizes to the upcoming students of Sarojini Fitness and Tennis Academy along with the Secretary also felicitated her and said as a part of encouraging other games SCFA is doing its part.
