2019 World Cup the final one for Dale Steyn and Lasith Malinga
In the 2019 World Cup team, Dale Steyn, at 35, will be appearing for his fourth World Cup. After he had expressed his wish to retire from limited-overs, it seems likely that, the 2019 World Cup will be the last one for Steyn. The pacer is currently nursing an injury which cut short his IPL stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
As Lasith Malinga, had intended to play after he had stepped down from the captaincy weeks before the World Cup. However, the experienced seam bowler plays a major role in the plans of Sri Lanka. In the 2007 World Cup, Malinga made a lasting impression, when he picked up four wickets off as many balls against South Africa. The double hat-trick nearly gave Sri Lanka a win out of the blue but they eventually lost by a wicket.
