BCCI announces India squads for T20I and Test series against Bangladesh

The BCCI, on Thursday, announced India Test and T20I squads for their upcoming home challenge against the visiting Bangladesh.

The T20I side will be led by Rohit Sharma with regular skipper Virat Kohli being rested by the MSK Prasad-led selection committee for the three-match series. Kerala's batting sensation Sanju Samson has been recalled into the team while Mumbai's talented all-rounder Shivam Dube has earned a maiden national call up.

The T20I series between the two sides will begin on 3 November when they take on each other at the newly-christened Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. While the second T20I will be played at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on 7 November, the third will be hosted by Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on 10 November.

After the conclusion of the T20I series, Virat Kohli will be back in action to lead India in the two-match Test series beginning on 14 November at Holkar Stadium in Indore. The second game of the series will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from 22 November.

Barring one change, the selection committee has announced an unchanged Indian Test side from the recently-concluded series against South Africa. Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav returns to the squad in place of Shahbaz Nadeem, who impressed on his debut in the final Test against South Africa.

Reigning supreme in the World Test Championship currently, the hosts will be keen on maintaining their ascendency at the top of the table.
