Indian pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah has broken into the top 10 of ICC rankings for Test bowlers. The young seamer, who is already ranked as the premier bowler in ODIs, spearhead India's match-winning effort with the ball in the fourth innings of the recently concluded Test match against West Indies and ended up with figures of 5 wickets for 7 runs. The remarkable display of pace bowling helped Bumrah shoot to the seventh spot in the rankings while Windies pacer Kemar Roach secured the eighth place, just below his Indian counterpart. Tenth placed left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja is the second Indian to find his name on the list, which is currently headed by Australia's pace gun Pat Cummins.

India's middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane too saw a surge in ranking after his performance in the first Test against the Windies in Antigua. The Indian vice-captain jumped 10 spots and moved to the eleventh place in the rankings. Rahane had essayed knocks of 81 and 102 and played a key role in turning the game in India's favour.

On the other hand, English all-rounder Ben Stokes moved to a career-high thirteenth spot on the ICC rankings for Test batsmen. The southpaw's superlative 135* helped England pull off a dramatic one-wicket win against the Aussies in the third Test of the ongoing Ashes. The rankings continue to be topped by Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is closely followed by Australia's Steve Smith.
