Twitter trolls Pakistan after its humiliating loss against West Indies
The second match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 proved to be a sorry affair for Pakistan. The team received an absolute drubbing in the hands of West Indies, who were way too superior on the day.
Being put into bat first, the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led unit was skittled out for a paltry score of 105 in just 21.4 overs. The Windies pacers breathed fire and bombarded the Pakistani batsmen with plenty of short deliveries, which were too hot to handle. Young fast bowling sensation Oshane Thomas proved to be the chief destroyers and were ably supported by the likes of skipper Jason Holder and Andre Russell.
Coming out to chase, the men in maroon looked to get home early as they got flowing right from the word go. With Chris Gayle yet again showcasing his power hitting prowess, West Indies stomped home to victory within 14 overs, and have kicked off their campaign on a resounding note.
Pakistan, on the other hand, have plenty to ponder. Barring the form of Mohammad Amir, the sub-continent team and its fans had nothing to cheer about on the day.
Meanwhile, cricket followers did not let the chance to troll Pakistan go away. Flocking Twitter right since the game started, numerous fans made it a point to blast the men in green for their poor show on Friday.
Here are a few of the tweets that caught our attention:
Just 212 balls in the game and it's over. West Indies, showing what they are capable of ,and Pakistan too.#WIvPAK

All said and done, it is important to note that these are still early days in the tournament. A mercurial side like Pakistan would be itching to overcome the nightmare and get on a winning spree soon. They next face England at Nottingham on 3 June.
