FC Barcelona striker reveals Lionel Messi is making his career tough in Nou Camp

Antoine Griezmann, who moved to FC Barcelona from Atletico Madrid ahead of the current season, reportedly has slammed teammate Lionel Messi for making it tough for him to succeed at Nou Camp.

According to France Football's news report, Griezmann feels "isolated" among the Barcelona players and has told his close inner circle that his colleagues are jealous of him for winning the FIFA World Cup in 2018, especially Messi. The Frenchman, as stated in the report, has also blamed his skipper for the poor start to his Barca career." They will not have me, I will not give up," he further said specifying that he will not let his colleagues push him down.

Even though Griezmann initially was seen to struggle in Barca's line-up, the last few months of 2019 finally seemed positive. In fact, Barca's front line of Griezmann, Messi and Luis Suarez - the 'MSG' trident - even became the highest scoring in Spanish football at the close of 2019.

Catalans' downfall began when they lost Suarez to injury in their Super Cup semi-final loss to Griezmann's former club, Atletico Madrid. The defeat also saw Ernesto Valverde lose his job as Barca's head coach as he was replaced by Quique Setién.

Griezmann's latest sensational news in regards to Messi will surely trouble the Barca fans further. The reigning La Liga champions have been struggling on the field. Their recent loss to Valencia saw them lose their top spot in the La Liga table. They slipped to second place, behind Real Madrid who have a three-point lead now. Moreover, Barca are already without two key players – Suarez and Ousmane Dembélé, who have been ruled out due to injuries.

Griezmann, who joined Barca last summer for a supposed fee of $130 million, has so far made 32 appearances for the Catalans, has scored 12 times and provided four assists.
