Saneet clinches double titles in Leo Juniors tourney

Hyderabad: Saneet Uppati of Sarojini Cricket and Tennis Academy won the Under-16 and Under-14 boys singles titles in the Leo Juniors tennis tournament held at Leo Tennis Academy, Lingampally on Sunday.

In the U-16 final, he defeated Saaketha Rama 6-1 and in the U-14 final, he beat Jaisimha 6-3. In the U-16 quarter final he outplayed Jaisimha 6-1 and in the semis he sends Ruthwik Mandela packing 6-1.

In the run up to U-14 finals Saneet beat Hari Hara Laxman 6-1 in the quarters and in the semis trounced A. Deepak 6-1.

Saneet's backhand in this tournament was outstanding and the finalists in both the categories were no match for him. His drop shots were near to perfection other than his impeccable baseline game.

He is coached by Sarojini Tennis Academy coaches Purushotham, Imran and his fitness like strength, speed strength, endurance is personally monitored by G.R.Kiran, secretary and former national volleyball player who is also a Ssenior Public Relations Manager in TSRTC. He felicitated the youngster for his achievement.
