BSNL introduces special Yatra SIM cards for Amarnath Pilgrims

BSNL, the state-run telecom operator has launched a pre-loaded Yatra SIM for Amarnath pilgrims. Customers will get 20,000 seconds of free talk time and 1.5 GB free data with a validity of ten days. The SIM which includes the cost of STV and the plan voucher is priced at Rs 230.

The pre-loaded Yatra SIM can be bought from different tourist centres in Jammu and Kashmir. Pilgrims need to submit valid documents such as proof of address, proof of identity and applicant's photograph to acquire the BSNL pre-loaded Yatra SIM card. They also need to submit a photocopy of registration slip issued by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) which will be considered as a local reference.

• Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu Base Camp

• Base Camps at Baltal and Pahalgam

• Main Exchange Building, CSC Kachi Chawni Jammu

• Main Exchange Building, CSC, Trikuta Nagar, Near RBI building, Jammu

• Tourist Reception Centre, Nowgam, Near Railway station, Srinagar

• Tourist reception centre, Lakhanpur Base Camp

Reliance Jio has also announced another new prepaid recharge plan for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims. Which is priced at Rs 102, offers unlimited local and STD voice calls with free 100 SMS every day. When it comes to mobile internet, the plan offers 500MB of daily free 4G data and once the daily limit of 500MB expires, the internet speed will reduce to 64Kbps till midnight. The Amarnath Yatra plan comes with a validity of only one week and is available in the Jammu and Kashmir telecom circle only.
